MASL Windsor vs Tiddington
Windsor were back to winning ways on Sunday with a fine victory over Tiddington. Batting first Tiddington found runs came at a steady rate. O’Shannessey struck first for Windsor dismissing Morgan for 9. This brought Organ to the crease carried on the scoring before falling to Edge. The introduction of Condon of Griffiths brought some control to the scoring with Griffiths removing Mackie and Organ. However, with wickets in hand Tiddington were always on for a score and some hitting from Evans, Maule and Brookes at the end Tiddington finished on 219-7 off their allotted 40 overs. Griffiths was the pick of the Windsor bowlers returning figures of 3-37.
Windsor openers Huggins and Chorley entered the game struggling for form with just one run between them in each of their last three innings. After a tentative start though both batsman started to play their shots with Huggins driving the ball hard through the covers. Both batsman completed their 50’s before Chorley fell to Manger for 60 with Windsor well on their way to Tiddington’s total. This brought Gould to the crease who picked up where Chorley left off. As Windsor neared the finishing line though Huggins was bowled by Brookes. However, some intelligent running by Gould and Greene saw Windsor home to an 8 wicket victory.
