Sangha’s merry men march on
Aston Rowant 122 all out Windsor 123 for 1.
Windsor 2nds win by 9 wickets.
Captain Gary Sangha led the way by breaking through in his first over and cleaning up the tail with 2 wickets at the start of his second spell. Aston Rowant were bowled out for 122. Usman Ahmed again also impressed with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 10 runs in his allotted 8 overs. Crawshaw and Wigley also bowled well and provided good support.
Rob Dawson and Tom Bullock both hit 50's as Windsor cruised passed the target with plenty of wickets and time to spare. There is no game this Sunday for the 2nd’s as the club is fully involved with the running of the Lord’s Taverners game at Windsor.

Sangha's men say Harrow a quick goodbye
Windsor 2nd XI vs Harrow Weald – Sunday 9th July
Windsor win by 9 wickets.
Harrow Weald 57 all out Windsor 2nd Xl 61 for 1
In a game that started early, it was 3 needless run outs and excellent new ball bowling by Usman Ahmed that put the visitors (Harrow Weald) on the back foot from the start. They never recovered and crashed to 57 all out. In reply Windsor lost Steve Green to the 3rd ball of the innings, sparking huge scenes of Harrow jubilation. However, this was misplaced as once their eyes were in, both Malik (34) and Hodgson (23) guided the home side to well-deserved (if not brief) 9-wicket victory.

Windsor 225 (Lloyd 85, Channa 55, Wigley 45) Boyne Hill 162-7
Windsor 2’s got off to a winning start in Sunday League with a comprehensive win over a young Boyne Hill side. Andy Wigley and Hammet Chana got Windsor off to a good start putting 84 on for the 1st wicket before Channa after hitting his 50 holed out to Long on. There then followed a bit of a wobble as Windsor were reduced to 125-6 however a brutal innings by Wayne Lloyd hitting the attack to all parts and ably supported by the lower order saw him steam past 50 with a big six before eventually falling in the final over for a superb 85 with a century possibly in his sights.
Boyne Hill never really got after the score after early breakthroughs by Edge and Hodgson and after 30 overs with Kenny Lawrence chipping in with a 4 wickets the game was up for Boyne Hill who for some reason were content to just bat our the overs at 150-7. The game drew to it’s inevitable conclusion with a comprehensive Windsor win with entertainment provided by Gary Sangha who completely bottled a catch off at mid off, Ben ‘Jonty’ Lickley making a superb one handed stop at backward point from a flier and Rob ‘Monty’ Hodgson dropping a dolly at cover.

Sanghas Sunday Seconds Season Review
Sunday 2nds had a most enjoyable Season with many of the matches going the full distance with the results being in the balance going into the games last over. This is exactly what Cricket should be about.
The highlight of the Season was undoubtedly our 6wicket victory over a strong Burnham side. An excellent bowling and fielding display restricted Burnham to 160 odd (check with Gary exact score if you need it), and then with our side wavering on 60 for 4 and behind the clock Andy Wigley and Steve Green gradually settled in and then basically knocked the stuffing out of Burnham. A great win on a hot day.
With Messrs Green and Wigley, Kenny Lawrence and Ian Crawshaw joined Gary and formed the core of the team throughout the year. Wayne Lloyd was our target behind the stumps, and he also chipped in with some timely runs.
I am sure our all-round experience and agility in the field boosted the confidence of the younger personnel in the teams, which tended to vary each week due to availability.
Nevertheless the Season was hopefully enjoyed by all, and I for one will return for another go next Summer

Gould sacks Baggers
Bagshot 2s 193/8 - Endacott 52, Windsor 2s 194/3 - Gould 142*
Bagshot 2's turned up at Home Park, with 8 players and an uphill climb. Being such a sport Gary Sangha offered Windsor players Nandan and Endacot, whilst claiming Michael Gould for himself. This move appeared to have backfired spctacularly as Endacott fired only his second 50 in 19 years of cricket, as Bagshot set an intimidating 193. He was well supported by some bloke called Paul and another one called Neill..who helped the score along, aided by some dreadful donkey drops by Windsors bowlers ;-)....Still not sure how Captain Sangha managed to bowl sooo many overs in a limited overs game..surely number of overs per bowler is limited also!! Windsor's chase was a foregone conclusion after Captain Sangha decided that no-one else should get a game apart from him and young Gould. Despite some heroics from Bagshot 13 year olds Lucas and David, Gould unsurprisingly decimated the Bagshot bowling racing to 142 and easing the home side to the total. The only bright spot being the dismissal of Dawson, caught in the covers by Windor's nemesis.

Bullock charge sweeps nine man Windsor to victory
Hanwell 2nd XI vs Windsor 2nd XI
Due to a typical early season shortage of players, Phil Bullock was encouraged to come out of retirement to skipper the side, which included his two sons, regular Tom and the welcome return of former Windsor & Eton CC star Andrew.
Nine man Windsor won the toss and elected to put Hanwell into bat. After a steady start wickets fell on a regular basis and Hanwell finished on 125 all out. Notable performances from Nick Alford, 6 wickets for 20 runs and Usman Ahmed who collected 3 wickets.
In fairness Hanwell were very sporting and 2 of their players joined Windsor in the field managing to dismiss 3 of their own batsmen with catches. Alford and Tom Bullock put on an opening partnership of 50 before Bullock was caught for 30. The runs then dried up and Windsor struggled to score until the evergreen Steve Green came to the wicket. Once Green had weighed up the bowling he clubbed a quick fire 31 not out. Windsor reached their target with 9 overs to spare.
