Bullock charge sweeps nine man Windsor to victory
Hanwell 2nd XI vs Windsor 2nd XI
Due to a typical early season shortage of players, Phil Bullock was encouraged to come out of retirement to skipper the side, which included his two sons, regular Tom and the welcome return of former Windsor & Eton CC star Andrew.
Nine man Windsor won the toss and elected to put Hanwell into bat. After a steady start wickets fell on a regular basis and Hanwell finished on 125 all out. Notable performances from Nick Alford, 6 wickets for 20 runs and Usman Ahmed who collected 3 wickets.
In fairness Hanwell were very sporting and 2 of their players joined Windsor in the field managing to dismiss 3 of their own batsmen with catches. Alford and Tom Bullock put on an opening partnership of 50 before Bullock was caught for 30. The runs then dried up and Windsor struggled to score until the evergreen Steve Green came to the wicket. Once Green had weighed up the bowling he clubbed a quick fire 31 not out. Windsor reached their target with 9 overs to spare.
