Windsor 225 (Lloyd 85, Channa 55, Wigley 45)
Boyne Hill 162-7

Windsor 2’s got off to a winning start in Sunday League with a comprehensive win over a young Boyne Hill side. Andy Wigley and Hammet Chana got Windsor off to a good start putting 84 on for the 1st wicket before Channa after hitting his 50 holed out to Long on. There then followed a bit of a wobble as Windsor were reduced to 125-6 however a brutal innings by Wayne Lloyd hitting the attack to all parts and ably supported by the lower order saw him steam past 50 with a big six before eventually falling in the final over for a superb 85 with a century possibly in his sights.

Boyne Hill never really got after the score after early breakthroughs by Edge and Hodgson and after 30 overs with Kenny Lawrence chipping in with a 4 wickets the game was up for Boyne Hill who for some reason were content to just bat our the overs at 150-7. The game drew to it’s inevitable conclusion with a comprehensive Windsor win with entertainment provided by Gary Sangha who completely bottled a catch off at mid off, Ben ‘Jonty’ Lickley making a superb one handed stop at backward point from a flier and Rob ‘Monty’ Hodgson dropping a dolly at cover.
