Review of the 2009 season

Games played and outcomes
· It was a disappointing season in that the U12's only played in the West Surrey League and not the East Berkshire League and only ended up playing 4 matches in the whole season
· We had 17 players play during the season including 2 players from the U11's and one from the U9's. Of the 4 matches that we played, we won 2 and lost 2.
Detail of good performances
· On the batting side we had good individual performances from Jack Leach who scored 61 not out against Royal Ascot and 30 not out against Woking and averaged 68 for the season, from Mathew Jones who scored 33 not out against Royal Ascot, from Tom Berry who averaged 22 for the season and from Sam Trowbridge who averaged 16.
· On the bowling side we had good individual performances from Connor Baumann who took 3-17 against Royal Ascot and from Isa Al-Qarani who took 2-26 against Valley End and ended up with an average of 17 per wicket for the season.
Details of any district or county representation
· Jack Leach was selected for the Berkshire u12's this season and ended the season as their opening batsman. Tom Berry and Sam Trowbridge will be trialing this Winter for district representation next season.
Aspirations for next season
· Next season the u13's will be back in the East Berkshire League as well as the West Surrey League so the boys will have the opportunity to play in a much greater number of games than this season which can only be good for their development. Our focus will be on the East Berkshire League and, having reached the semi finals last season we hope to go one better and reach the final!
